MegaETH is a real-time Ethereum Layer-2 designed to run smart contracts with web-scale throughput and sub-second finality while inheriting Ethereum’s security and tooling. Emerging from the limitations of batch-oriented rollups, it targets latency, UX, and composability constraints by tightly integrating high-performance execution with an Ethereum-native settlement layer. Following an initial private community round that aligned core users, validators, and developers as early stakeholders, MegaETH aims to provide a low-latency base for trading, gaming, and agentic applications that need onchain guarantees without sacrificing interactive, Web2-like responsiveness.
